Numerical simulation of soda ash drying process in pneumatic drying system with industrial scale

In this paper a mathematical model for the soda ash drying process in pneumatic dryer was presented. The presents macroscopic aspect of process, two-phase, gas-solid system. is based on mass and heat transfer between gas phase particle, movement air particles through system, geometric characteristics system (fan, heater, dryer, cyclone). effects parameters, such as airflow, inlet temperature, relative humidity, temperature at etc., have been studied by solving model. Also, tested different values capacity wet operating parameters heating medium. implemented MATLAB solved with nonlinear equations solver. Data obtained were compared industrial data good agreement.
